Bamboo flooring carbonized

Seen here, a bamboo flooring carbonized floor is a great finish floor option that is offered today. This type is the darker brownish version of this great product. Unlike the natural bamboo it is several shades darker. The rich brown almost caramel-like color is achieved through the process of steaming the material under a controlled pressure and temperature known as carbonization.

We have used this color in many applications and have had wonderful success. It lends itself well to most decorating schemes. the warm richness of the coloration created in the carbonization process brings a special coziness to any room it is  a part of.

As you can see the distinctive knuckles appear darker than the field color similar to what we find in the natural bamboo. And also similar to the natural product in the vertical grain configuration it shows a linear subtle striped effect.

 

The bamboo flooring carbonized color is unique (compared to stained hard wood floors for example) in that it actually creates a color change in the core product instead of just putting color on top of it or staining it like with wood.
