We often hear consumers asking for discount laminate flooring or cheap laminate flooring. Let's take a look at how these terms are intended as well as what they might mean and/or how they could be misinterpreted. There are many factors our experience has shown to be part of getting to the bottom of what the consumer truly is expecting to get when they ask for this.
It has been our experience that when a consumer asks for cheap laminate flooring about half of the time they want just that and are not extremely concerned with the quality of the floor they get. However, on deeper research we have found that some of that comes from the consumer's lack of understanding that a cheap laminate flooring will not perform to the same standards as floors that may be owned by their neighbor or family member or friend who has told them that they love their laminate floor.
Our careful assessment and extensive experience in dealing with consumers who ask for cheap laminate flooring is that they usually want a "good value" and if the salesperson properly explains the differences in the products they will likely select an adequate quality at a good solid value rather than just the cheapest price. Our advice is as a consumer to be sure that you communicate what YOU truly are looking for so you are not disappointed.
Discount laminate flooring is a commonly used term by consumers. The difficulty with asking for this is that it leaves itself open to so much misinterpretation. Our experience has shown that in most cases when a customer asks for discount laminate flooring they are looking for a laminate flooring deal or an exceptional value. Be sure when you talk to your flooring supplier that you are clear and concise in what you want. On occasion we have found that when a flooring shopper asks for discount laminate flooring the actual quality of the laminate floor is not much of a concern. However, in most cases it is. Sometimes when a consumer uses the term discount laminate flooring they are just looking for a discounter or discount flooring dealer.
In any case it is our recommendation to avoid using the terms discount laminate flooring and/ or cheap laminate flooring if at all possible. If you do use them please be prepared to elaborate on what you really want or you are only asking for confusion between you and the flooring supplier that will result in you being dissatisfied with your project.
